The company who makes the lives of travelers easier, is trying to do the same for homeless animals. Luggage Ahead recently sponsored S.T.A.R.T. II’s “Give Me Shelter” fundraiser in Garfield, NJ. Luggage Ahead believes strongly in animal rights and the betterment of animals.
Call it the flier’s revenge: With airlines starting to charge for checking even one piece of luggage, more travelers are just shipping the suitcases on their own.
What started as a premium service to help avoid the headaches of checking items is now looking more attractive to fliers, who feel that if they must pay to transport luggage, it might as well be on their own terms, according to companies that specialize in shipping luggage. The companies’ fees are much pricier than airline surcharges, but they do promise the convenience of door-to-door service.
